Winter months in Canada is usually accompanied with adjectives similar to “dark”,”gloomy”,”freezing” – all of which typically force people inside the comfort of their homes to wait out the winter freeze. However power sports enthusiasts, particularly Canadian power sports enthusiasts typically have a different take on winter. Thick blankets of in our wide open prairies and forested mountain passes turn into a playground for snowmobilers. Unfortunately… or fortunately, depending on who you ask, during the 2023-2024 winter season the powder days that we’re so accustomed to were few and far between due to unseasonably warm temperatures. While most snowmobiling fanatics can’t help but feel shortchanged, there is a silver lining – we get to break out the summer ATV kits early!

A Little Bit of History

Argo began in Kitchener Ontario in 1962 as a subsidiary of a German transport company trying to tap into the North American market. They began development for a 6-wheel-drive amphibious ATV for commercial use to tackle impossible terrain year round. Five years later, in 1967 Argos first ever product line – the Amphicat – was born. 62 years after its inception Argo has build a reputation across Europe North America as one the most innovative and adaptable vehicle manufactures in the industry, with a firm foothold in the commercial and industrial markets.

From unmanned rescue vehicles to industrial workhorses, Argo has continued to innovate and build one of the most comprehensive all-terrain and amphibious vehicle lineups across the industry. With 12 different lineups currently being produced, as well as expanding into generators and ATV accessories, Argo continues to exceed expectations and gained admiration around the world with outdoor enthusiasts and professionals alike.

The Xplorer ATV Lineup

The Argo Xplorer series is Argos flagship line of recreational ATVs and we can see why. Ranging from the youth size (The Argo Xplorer 90) to the massively powerful Argo Xplorer XRT 1000 LE This lineup offers something for everyone, at an accessible price point. The later boasts a liquid cooled 997cc 4-stroke engine equipped with class leading suspension, heavy duty front and rear tracks, push-button 2wd/4wd with front differential lock, Heavy-duty 3,000lb winch and 3- year warranty with a free Argo 3300i generator. Argo prides itself on being the most affordable ATV producer in the industry, with their 2024 models starting at $3,199 CAD.
